nine months old!

I cant believe my little monkey is 9 months old today! Wow the time has flown by. She has her 9 month doctors appointment this week and I was thinking about how she has changed since her last appointment at 6 months. Lets see she has four teeth now and is a pro at eating pureed baby food. She also likes a few finger foods like bannanas and graham crackers although she isnt very good at getting them to her mouth. I think she expects me to feed her all the time, just like her bottle. I have seen her hold it and put it in her mouth but she still prefers me to do it for her all the time. She still hasnt mastered the sippy cup yet either but she does like to drink from a straw. Besides feeding she has finally started to push up on all fours as if she wants to crawl. She still isnt crawling yet but I think she will soon. I am actually surprised because I thought she was going to bypass crawling and just start walking. The doctor said that they see that alot with babies that are put to sleep on their backs all the time. Maddie hated being on her tummy for the longest time and she seemed to really enjoy standing up and holding onto the couch. So I just figured she might forgo the crawling but now that she is making the effort to push up and rock back and forth on all fours I think she will be crawling very soon. The thought of her crawling makes me nervous, she is such a little determined monkey she is going to be in everything! I guess thats what safety gates are for. I plan to put them everywhere. Since her last doctors appointment, she has also said her first word, Dada. Although she talks up a storm, this is the only recognizable word so far. I do think she is starting to try to say Baba for bottle. I was hoping her next word would be Mama. Oh well, I already knew she loved Daniel more than me, I guess she loves the bottle more than me too. Just joking, I know she loves me but if her next word after "Baba" is "Cooper", I am going to be really upset:)
